  • Since 2008, Stop Wasting Food involved over 500 volunteers from in over 200 of our many projects, activities, campaigns and events against food waste. See more.

  • Stop Wasting Food is a Partner of the FAO/UNEP Think.Eat.Save campaign. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food is a Partner of the EU FUSIONS project. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food is a Member of the European Commission’s EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food has generated over 7,000 Danish and international media coverages and was the first NGO in Denmark to bring food waste massively on the media agenda. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food is a co-developer of the international Food Loss & Waste Protocol. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food is a co-developer of the European Joint Declaration Against Food Waste. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food is a co-developer of the Milan Protocol. See more.
  • Since 2010, Stop Wasting Food had collaboration with 3 Danish Governments – as well as the present Danish Government. See more.
  • Due to inspiration from Stop Wasting Food, the Danish retail chain REMA 1000 canceled bulk discounts in all chain’s Danish stores, which is contributing to less food waste. See more.
  • Most of the Danish retail chains – REMA 1000, Coop Danmark, KIWI, LIDL etc. have collaborations with Stop Wasting Food in food waste prevention and reduction initiatives. See more.
  • Stop Wasting Food has contributed to a greater focus on food waste among the Danish industry, retailers, canteens, restaurants and foodservice leading to fight against food waste become a competitive parameter. See more.
  • In a poll made by the Danish Agriculture & Food Council from 2016, 83% of Danes say that they have become more interested to minimize food waste in their households. See more.
